Tesla has accomplished its goal!
Tesla’s goal was to accelerate the world’s transition to electric mobility with a full range of increasingly affordable electric cars (The Model 3 will have a range of 215 plus miles and cost 35K without state & federal incentives). Model 3 started production on or about July 1, 2017. Technical tid-bit on EV battery life, (battery degradation) does not mimic cell phone battery life). After 220,000 miles the Tesla battery will have 93% capacity retention.
In Fact, in a real world test, at 521,000 miles the Tesla Battery Pack still has 80% capacity retention. While an internal combustion engine (ICE) would be nearing the end of its life by 300,000 miles and I would hate to think of the money spent on gasoline, oil services, other fluid changes, required services ie: timing belt, tune ups (spark plugs & air filter).
The Renewable Energy Center (REC) builds customer relationships, educates others about Electric Vehicle ownership and will match EV benefits to customer needs. REC's goal is to create Electric Vehicle-Evangelists who will share clean vehicle ownership experience with their friends. Let's do our part to stop climate change, drive an EV !!!
